🌀 What Is Incongruence?
Incongruence is when what’s on the surface doesn’t match what’s underneath.
Someone says they love you… but your chest tightens.You say yes to a request… but your gut churns.You hear a sermon or a social post… and feel a flash of heat behind your eyes.
These aren’t random reactions.They’re signals.
They’re the body’s way of saying,“Something here doesn’t match what’s true for me.”
🔥 Triggers Are Teachers
We’ve been taught to push away discomfort.To silence it. To “get over it.”But in reality — discomfort is information.
Triggers aren’t just wounds — they’re windows.
They show us where we haven’t been seen.Where a boundary was crossed.Where a belief is outdated.Where something real inside of us is crying out to be noticed, healed, or honored.
Instead of judging our triggers, what if we got curious?What if we thanked them for trying to keep us safe?
💬 The Body Always Tells the Truth
The body speaks before the brain catches up.
✨ A racing heart can signal fear or truth or both.✨ A lump in the throat can mean “I’ve silenced myself too long.”✨ Butterflies might mean excitement… or anxiety wearing a pretty dress.✨ Numbness might be your nervous system going offline to protect you.
We don’t need to decode it perfectly.We just need to listen.
Our culture worships logic — but the soul lives in the body.And the body doesn’t lie.

Here are a few gentle practices to help you start:
🔹 Pause. When something feels off, stop and breathe.
🔹 Notice. Where do you feel it in your body? What sensations arise?
🔹 Name it. “I feel tightness.” “I feel heat.” “I feel resistance.”
🔹 Ask. “What is this sensation trying to show me?”
🔹 Honor it. Even if you don’t act on it yet — trust that it’s sacred.
